IN THE KNOW
BLACK CHANGEMAKERS

In February, In The Know kicked off their 2023 changemakers event series with the Black Changemakers event. The sold-out gathering at Negril Village, an authentic Caribbean restaurant in Greenwich Village, featured five comedians, and revolved around celebrating Black joy, promoting visibility, and contemplating the future direction of comedy.

The panel included Alex English, a writer for Saturday Night Live, Aminah Imani, a stand-up comedian, Brittany Carney, a comedian and writer, Reg Thomas, a comedian and host, and Teklai, the host of the widely popular pop-up comedy show, Fools Circle.
